Characteristics of Middle-Lower Ordovician Ultradeeply Buried Carbonate Reservoirs in Shunbei Area, Tarim Basin—A Case Study from Well SHBP1

Fracture-pore complexes, located at fault zones of Darriwilian carbonates, are the main exploration targets in Shunbei area, Tarim Basin. This article focuses on carbonate characteristics Lower Ordovician Well ShunbeiPeng1 (SHBP1), is sandwiched by two trending NW-SE deep-seated, strike-slip faults Shuntuoguole uplift. Based detailed core investigation and careful petrographic examination, reservoir types, denoting microquartz dolomite, recognized. The former mainly constrained lower part sampled gradually evolves to latter with progressively decreases silica. Integrated isotopic geochemistry (C, O, Sr) fluid inclusion microthermometry suggest that fluids hydrothermal origin migrate along deep-seated faults, forming favorable reservoirs. fault-controlled reservoirs, characterized strong amplitude seismic profile, would be most promising area deeply buried carbonates Basin, particularly area.
